Chiropractic Treatment Methods The primary method of Chiropractic treatment is an
adjustment - a short, problem specific thrust to a joint that is not moving properly or misaligned (subluxated). Subluxations are dertermined through careful examination consisting of specialized orthopedic and neurologic tests. ADJUSTMENTS ARE NOT AND SHOULD NOT BE PAINFUL. In fact, most people find chiropractic adjustments to be quite enjoyable and experience immediate relief from pain symptoms.

What does it do?
When the 24 bones that protect the spinal cord move out of their normal position, delicate nerve tissue can become compromised slowing the healing process. Adjustments correct the position of the spine which allows the injured area to heal properly, relieving nerve pressure and alleviating pain.
What do adjustments feel like?
After the adjustment, many patients report an immediate decrease in pain symptoms. In any given situation Chiropractors are experts at making adjustments comfortable and effective for each individual patient.
Is it safe?
YES! Chiropractic adjustments are so safe, even infants and children receive them. Each adjustment is catered to a patient's age, size, and unique spinal condition. Bottom line, Chiropractic is one of the safest types of healthcare in the world. In fact, according to a New Zealand government study, taking an over-the-counter pain reliever is about 100 times more risky.
Why an adjustment?
When the spine is "subluxation free" the body can begin its natural healing process. Each day millions of people choose Chiropractic over drugs or surgery as a safe and natural approach to better health.
Are adjustments only for the spine?
In addition to adjusting the spine, Chiropractors are also very effective in treating non-spinal related health problems. Nearly every joint of the body can be adjusted.
This includes the joints of the hands and feet, wrists and ankles, elbows and knees, shoulders, hips, ribs and jaw.
